Jibbering's 7th Birthday
at the Hare and Hounds, King's Heath.
1st December 2007
The Destroyers
Quantic (DJ Set)
Jibbering Sound System
Different Drummer Sound System
What a night to remember this was and it was also the busiest night that the Hare has ever seen. I do not really find that hard to believe- it was packed! Maybe a little too packed and we will watch out for that next time around.
The Destroyers set was as riotous as on ewould expect and Quantic played a storming set of latin, funk and d&b.
Thanks so much to all that came out to celebrate our birthday and to all those that helped and performed!

Kidkanevil Live
Saturday 3rd November 2007
What a treat it was to have the golden boy of UK Hip Hop to grace Birmingham with his own unique beats, rhymes and samples.
If his debut album "Problems and Solutions " this boy is going to go far,so keep an eye on him! Also watch out for the rest of his buddies on Forst Word Records- Leed's finest label. There is talk of sorting out a First Word Showcase featuring the Haggis Horns sometime in the new year- so watch this space!

What a lovely way to spend a sunday evening- sipping cold drinks and chilling out to the finest gypsy fiddler The Cross has ever seen. The band loved playing here and were overwhelmed by the rapturous response of the audience. Thanks to all those that showed up- i am sure that you all enjoyed it. Shambala Reunion
Saturday 6th October 2007
Autumn was drawing in and the hazy daze of summer was wearing off- so what better way to cheer everybody up than to hold a little shindig to remid everybody of the only 3 days of sunshine that we had all summer!!
This was a great night- a fantastic set of rootsical reggae courtesy of I Witness , with DJ Rubbish mashing it up with bad ass jungle and DJs Mr Muz, Guy C and Tangawizi setting the scene.
Thanks to all those that played and those that danced!
Roll on Shambala 2008!!

Emunah (Live)
7th July 2007- The Hare and Hounds, King's Heath
On the anniversary of the London bombings, it seemed appropriate to present a truly multi-cultural act, and Emunah certainly fitted that bill!! With Russian, Jewish, Palestinian and British members, Emunah are a true melting pot of musical influences and cultural ideas. They put on a great show of heavy breaks and drum and bass and surprised the audience with their passion and sheer variety of styles and influences. A truly inspiring band that i hope go far!

Smerin's Antisocial Club
16th June 2007- The Cross
Smerin's are one of my favourite live acts around at the moment so it was with a great deal of pleasure that we presented them to the Moseley massive. As expected they staged an awesome show of fat funk with twists of reggae, latino vibes and even an odd hint of drum and bass. It was a blinding night and i cannot wait to get these Bristolians up for another party in Brum

Antibalas Live @ The Hare and Hounds
It was a privilege to host this phenomenol concert of, probably, the best afrobeat band in the world at the Hare and Hounds. The crowd were amazed by the power of the show and were simply blown away by this13 piece orchestra. The bass was fat and the brass was heavy and to see them in such an intimate venue was a real treat.

The Anomalies- 19th May 2007 |
|
The Anomalies (Live)
19th May 2007- The Cross
Hailing from Hereford, The Anomalies have been rocking venues and festies with their uniqe party mash up hiphop. Smooth rhyming, funky-as-f@^k backing tracks, a great beatboxer and a seriously energetic stage show are the qualities that mark The Anomalies as a band that are going to go far in the very near future.
